Drain Jetting Kahibah

Drain jetting in Kahibah pushes high-pressure water through a blocked line and scours the pipe walls clean, with no chemicals involved. The price is on paper before the jetter goes in, and a camera pass at the end proves the line runs clear end to end. Ring (02) 4063 3469 to book.

The right tool for stubborn lines. This is the service a plumber in Kahibah reaches for when a drain keeps slowing down, and this page covers how it runs, what shapes the cost, and when a different fix fits better. The blocked drains hub holds the wider picture on clearing lines across the valley.

What Does Jetting Lift That an Eel Leaves?

An electric eel punches a hole through a blockage and gets the flow going again. It leaves the cause behind. Jetting removes the cause, because the water strips the walls as it travels:

  • Grease and fat baked onto kitchen lines, which an eel slides through without lifting
  • Silt and soil washed into stormwater pipes through cracked joints on the valley side
  • Sludge and scale that narrows an old line until it blocks on every heavy rain
  • Fine root hairs left clinging after the main mass is cut away

The difference shows up months later. A properly jetted line holds its flow, because there is nothing left on the walls for the next blockage to build on.

How Does a Jetting Visit Run?

  1. 01

    Ring or send the form

Call (02) 4063 3469 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.

  2. 02

    A fixed price first

A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.

  3. 03

    Water does the work

The jetter head goes in through the access point and scours the line under pressure, flushing grease, silt and debris out toward the main.

  4. 04

    Covered for a year

Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.

Once the line runs, the camera follows it down and shows you the result. The footage shows the pipe clear from the access point to the main, not just our word for it. The CCTV drain inspection page covers what that footage picks up.

How Is the Jetting Price Worked Out?

The price of a jetting job comes down to three things:

  • Access A line with a clean access point is a quicker job than one the jetter has to reach through a tight gully or under a floor.
  • Pipe material and run length Glazed clay laid a century back needs a gentler pass than modern PVC, and longer runs take more time on the hose.
  • The clock Visits after hours and on weekends cost extra, and that extra is named when you book, so going ahead stays your call.

Jetting on Valley Ground

The ground here works with the seasons

Reactive clay over shale takes on water and swells, then contracts through a dry spell, and buried joints move with it. A joint that has shifted catches silt travelling downhill toward Flaggy Creek, and jetting flushes that build-up out before it sets hard.

Old pipe, gentle pressure

The township's first cottages date from the 1890s, so their earthenware is well over a century old, while the postwar fibro homes and later brick veneer run newer lines. The jetter's pressure is set to suit whichever pipe the camera finds.

Regrowth keeps arriving

The bush on the Glenrock side of the valley, where Burwood Road runs toward the old colliery land, finds every open joint in an old sewer line, and the jetter strips those early growths off the wall before they thicken into a full blockage. Where the footage shows roots are the real story, the tree root removal page covers the cut-and-seal approach.

One Customer's Kitchen Line

"We talked through the options of our blocked kitchen sink drain (not just an s bend problem) and came to the perfect long term solution at a reasonable price." Debbie

Where the Water Wins and Where It Doesn't

When we're not the right call. A line collapsed or badly fractured needs more than water, and the footage makes that plain. In that case the fix is excavation or pipe relining, and we talk you through both with the camera evidence in front of us. A clog in Hunter Water's main past your boundary is cleared by their crew, not ours, and you get their contact details from us.

For a sewer specifically backing up rather than a slow line, the blocked sewer page covers that job in full.

Common Jetting Questions

Is jetting safe for the old earthenware drains in Kahibah?

Yes. The jetting pressure is tuned to the pipe, and on clay this old we start low and step up while the camera watches. If the pictures reveal a stretch too cracked to clean safely, we stop and lay out the options rather than push on.

Do you jet stormwater lines as well as sewers?

Both. Stormwater runs heading for the creek clog with leaf litter, silt and gravel, and water at pressure flushes that mix out of the line and the pits. A sewer gets the same treatment for grease, scale and waste build-up, with a camera pass to prove the result.

How is jetting different from an electric eel?

An eel bores through the blockage, so the flow returns but the film stays on the walls. Jetting strips that film off the whole pipe as it travels, so the line comes back closer to new and the debris that feeds the next blockage is gone.

Will the roots come back after the line is jetted?

They will, because jetting clears what is inside the pipe but cannot close the joint the roots entered through. The footage pinpoints the gap they used, and relining can seal it from the inside so the next growth has nowhere to go.
